Frequently Asked Questions

UC Partnership Programs provides access to multiple UC campuses and brands through an efficient and streamlined process. We facilitate collaborative discussions between businesses and campus groups, helping to expand the value and effectiveness of business sponsorships while building the foundation for successful, long-term relationships.

UC partners may have access to various multicampus or systemwide benefits including, but not limited to communication or messaging to UC community members (students, faculty, staff and alumni) by email, direct mail, social media and in person; educational engagement through speaker series, panels, classroom seminars and workshops; recruitment and career development opportunities; sponsored exhibitor and campus event activations; and official campus designations.

Benefits to the campuses can include, but are not limited to preferred products, services and pricing to UC community members (students, faculty, staff and alumni); commitment to hiring UC graduates; support of student internships, work-study programs, and scholarships; financial commitment to student programming and other campuswide or systemwide initiatives.

UC Partnership Programs works directly with each potential partner to create a customized relationship which meets the goals and needs of both the partner and the university.

Specific assets may vary between the different UC campus locations and may not be available at all locations. Additionally, we understand each partnership will include different business goals, and may offer different services, products and relationship benefits.

UC Partnership Programs serves as the main contact during multicampus and systemwide partnership negotiations. Once negotiations are finalized, a primary contact at each campus will be available to assist partners with specific on-campus execution.

Campus partners should first inform their current/primary campus contact of the potential interest in collaborating with other campuses, prior to contacting UC Partnership Programs.

A selected partner may have the opportunity to use the marks of the individual campuses involved in the relationship, depending on the level of partnership. The campuses have their own brand guidelines and policies pertaining to the use of marks.

Any use of marks would be subject to campus design approval. All use of marks on products is subject to the use of a licensed vendor and the individual campus’s royalty policies and rates.

For systemwide partnerships, there may be an opportunity to use the University of California names or marks. Please refer to our Collaborative Branding page for more information on partnership levels and campus brand guidelines.
